Sweets For The Sweets
Nothing brings a family closer than spending some quality time together. And with February being National Bake For Family Fun Month, I thought I’d share a couple of my favorite family-friendly recipes for you to share with your own loved ones.
Puppy Chow
- 9 Cups Chex® Cereal
- 1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (melted)
- ½ Cup Smooth Peanut Butter (melted)
- ¼ Cup Butter (melted)
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 ½ Cups Powdered Sugar
Microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter for 1 minute and stir together until smooth and add vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal and stir together until cereal is coated. Pour mixture into a large Ziploc bag and add powdered sugar—shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Enjoy!
ROLO® Pretzel Bites
- Square Pretzels
- ROLOs®
- M&Ms® or Pecans
Preheat oven to 250° and add 25 pretzels on a foil-lined baking sheet. Then place an unwrapped ROLO® on top of each pretzel. Bake for 3 minutes or until ROLOs® have softened. Top each ROLO® with either an M&M® or pecan. Let cool. Enjoy!
Both of these recipes are just as easy as they are tasty so I hope trying them with your family brings you as much fun as it’s brought mine. Happy family-time baking!
